If you are renting from Ellis, you need to have the repair done by Ellis.
Parents need to contact Ellis to make arrangements for the students instrument to be picked up at their respective school.
Ellis will tell you what day of the week their representative will be at the school.The instrument needs to be in the designated place first thing in the morning as the Ellis driver schedule can change.
It is imperative that you follow the school band director's procedure for instrument collection. Some schools have the instruments left at the front office, others in a specific place in the band room or director's office. The Ellis reps should not have to comb through instrument storage lockers trying to locate the pick up.
When you contact Ellis, PLEASE ASK FOR A "LOANER" INSTRUMENT so that your child has something to play on while their horn is being repaired.
Please remove all personal belongings from the case. You will need your reeds, mouthpiece, ligature, neck strap, pencil etc.
The only time you would send your mouthpiece in with the instrument is if you are having it re-corked.
